Our story began when Elijah "Touch" Touchton, a veteran of the United States Air Force, moved to Pittsburg, Kansas, with his family after being discharged. His goal was to attend Pittsburg State University and become an electrician. While pursuing his education, he worked part-time for R.E. Emerson and eventually started his own business, Touchton Electric Service, in 1972.

Touchton Electric Service began as a residential and commercial wiring business, but it quickly expanded to include residential and commercial alarm systems, fire alarms, camera systems, access control systems, and network cabling.
