Our Story

DK Security wasn't born from a desire to simply provide security services; it was sparked by a passion for revolutionizing the industry. Founded in 1995 by Bob DuHadway and John Kendall, two former federal law enforcement leaders with a shared vision, DK Security aimed to answer a critical need in the market: a private security company that prioritized client needs and consistently delivered exceptional quality. Their mission was clear: challenge the status quo and establish a new benchmark for responsiveness, professionalism, and service excellence.

It all began modestly, with just five recent graduates from Grand Valley State University's Criminal Justice program, entrusted with DK Security's first security contract. Over the years, DK Security expanded its reach and its team, proudly employing a workforce of over 1,900 dedicated security professionals across Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio.
